Steampunk Space Elevator

I teach at Staffordshire University and try to make sure I do the students' assignments alongside them, providing an insight into my workflow when tackling a project.
The brief for this assignment was to design a "Steampunk Space Elevator". It's been a lot of fun and I don't want to stop! I encourage the students to let their imaginations run riot and come up with world building lore to help inspire them with their designs
