Finding myself obsessing again over the "best" way to paint over 3D, etc. Stepped out of my comfort zone this time and used lighten and darken modes much more, which I see artists I admire doing, and I think it's beginning to click for me why these are so good for painting over 3D. By using subtle different colours you can add painterly variation into the shadows and highlights without obliterating detail.
Because this was more of a painting/Photoshop exercise, I wasn't really concerned with originality or anything else. Base 3D model is from Kitbash3D's Paris kit.
