I'm using www.shotdeck.com to find awesome reference over the last week. I highly recommend it. You can search for movie stills by thematic keyword. A shot from Never Let Me Go served as some rough inspiration for this one.
To be fair, this is 2D and 3D. Difficult to say it definitely fits more into one rather than the other since even though it's from a 3D base, more time was actually spent in Photoshop.
